NILGA President, Councillor Evelyne Robinson warmly welcomes the statement from Minister Alex Attwood MLA, Department of the Environment, confirming that emergency funds will be made available to local councils; the funding provided will enable councils to support their citizens in the affected flooded areas with immediate help. This must be seen as an excellent and timely initiative by the Minister.
