Workshop aimed at building a shared understanding of the use of data and evidence to inform community planning.
NILGA, in association with the Carnegie Trust, Ulster University and NISRA, invites Elected Members and officers to a Workshop aimed at building a shared understanding amongst elected members (and other attendees) on the use of data and evidence to inform community planning. The intention of this interactive workshop is to:
• Improve understanding of data and evidence, why they are important, where to find information, what support is available and how to use it.
• Increase confidence and competence in using evidence to make robust decisions about the future of their council area.
• Ensure councils are targeting resources in the most impactful way.
Elected members meaningful participation in community planning is key to delivery of the Community Planning Partnerships vision for their area. This session will focus on increasing elected members understanding and competence around using data and evidence to inform the design of public services and to track performance outcomes.
Hosted by NILGA with support from the LGTG (Local Government Training Group), this FREE event is open to all Elected Members, officers and interested stakeholders. The session will be delivered online via zoom, details will be provided to all registered delegates.
