The Department for Infrastructure has secured £3m of ring-fenced Public Sector Transformation Funding to advance the Independent Inspectors Project, as an additional option to the Planning Appeals Commission for ‘hear and report’ work.
This is an opportunity for councillors to hear about how the project is relevant to the independent examination of Local Development Plans and other ‘hear and report’ work, including public local inquiries and hearings relating to regionally significant and called-in planning applications.
