Welcome to Belfast – one of the youngest, friendliest cities in Europe. Our strongest and most visible asset is our people with a third of our population consisting of young people up to the age of 21 years old.
We are working to ensure that Belfast continues to grow and develop as a global city, attracting investment, new technology, boosting the health and prosperity of all our citizens and our Belfast Agenda lays out a framework for how we intend to do this.
We are creating a new brand for Belfast that will reinvigorate the image of ‘Global Belfast’ as a destination city, build on existing momentum to inject life and colour into all aspects of city life emphasising our growing energy in the world. Our inclusive growth plans aim to create 15,000 new jobs in Belfast, secure £1 billion of investment, double the value of tourism, and achieve a £900 million city region growth deal – all by 2021.
Working with our partners in the city and beyond we have a vision for Belfast that is open, welcoming, takes care of its environment, bursts with culture, offers good jobs, education and housing and is a pleasure to live with, work and visit.
