Mid and East Antrim Borough covers an area of just over 400 square miles extending from the River Bann to the Antrim Coast. It’s made up of three main towns, Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne filled with natural beauty and rich cultural sites. With strategic links to air, sea and road networks, it’s easy to discover our area’s best assets, from medieval castles to sensational coastal roads and bustling towns and villages. We are home to a population of just over 135,000 people. Our main objectives as a Council are to grow the local economy, develop our tourism potential and build stronger, safer communities.
