Remarkable Ulster success at RHS Britain in Bloom
Ulster achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) annual Britain in Bloom awards ceremony held at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester (21/10/24).
After their local triumph in the Translink Ulster in Bloom competition, three finalists were selected to represent the Ulster region in the National In Bloom competition.
At the event in Manchester, Cullybackey Community Partnership, Donaghmore Horticultural Community, and Tidy Randalstown all received gold medals.
Cullybackey, located in County Antrim, also claimed the prestigious title of overall Large Town Winner, and a Community Champion Award was awarded to Ruairi McCormack from Randalstown.
NILGA President Councillor Alison Bennington stated, “On behalf of NILGA, I would like to congratulate Cullybackey Community Partnership, Donaghmore Horticultural Community, and Tidy Randalstown for their outstanding achievements in this year’s Royal Horticultural Society’s Britain in Bloom awards.
“Winning these awards is a testament to the passion and creativity of our residents. Achievements like these are only possible through the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our local communities.
“I would also like to pay tribute to the talented and creative council teams who support these groups. Together, they ensure that we are excelling in this national In Bloom competition.”
